The Technical University of Valencia is a young higher
education center at Comunidad Valenciana (Spain), mainly devoted to teaching, research and transfer of technology
to world-wide companies. This University was set up only 30 years ago, even though some of their academic centers do
exist hundred years ago. This University is well recognised as one of the best Spanish institution for studying
Architecture and Engineering degrees.
Presently, this University is composed of a total number of 39,000 members,
distributed as follows: 35,000 students, 2,387 teachers & researchers, and 1,593 administrative staff. The research activity is developed within Departments and Research Institutes.
The Microwave Applications Group (GAM) belongs to the
Research Institute on Telecommunications & Multimedia Applications (iTEAM), and it is placed within recently developed
Polytechnic City of Innovation at campus de Vera(Valencia, Spain). The main research activity of this group is focused
on analysis, synthesis and design techniques of passive microwave components for space systems. Recently, this group has
focused his research activity on theoretical prediction and experimental verification
of RF breakdown effects in satellite payload components.
